The difference between Kabbalah and Pythagoras lies in the fact that in Kabbalah you can feel and see the Tree within you once, flowing.
That is, to see the core of the person you are, as it really is.
Whereas with the Pythagorean Triangle, or Peeling the Onion of some others, what to see?

Not to disparage Pythagoras, the Triangles within each other, is a more Abstract illustration of the same interplay that the Kabbalah teaches. A process of Depth Perception. It is a Fractal illustration so to speak.
As in Kabbalah we have Triangles, the 3 Triangles of Pythagoras correspond to Three States of Consciousness: Intellect, Empathy, Nature, I always assume, since I have not immersed myself in his teachings.

Me and the Onion, so as not to offend the friends of the Onion! :)
Here's how I peeled the Onion.
Peeling the Onion
Heavy Metal -> Headbanging
Sufi -> The Whirling Dance of the Dervishes
Book 4 Part 2 - Aleister Crowley
Turning to the Left is to Ascend to the Heavens, stepping out of the narrow confines of our Personality.
The Spin to the Right is to Land on the Earth, and in some cases, continue into Her Core, and into the Core of our Being.
Observe the Flow of Water in the tub as it empties. Heading Right Down. Which makes us understand, because when we dance heavy metal, and not only, we tend to turn to the Left. We turn to the Right when we feel dizzy from the continuous Left Rotation, so as not to fall under the dizziness. At least that's how I feel, though I think if you look it up, you'll agree too.
But all this at a relatively young age. When I was "burning out" from other transcendental experiences at an older age and started dancing to my favorite songs, it wasn't quite the same, because with the "bad life" I do :) I've strained the body enough. But I think I figured it out at the right time so I can fix what needs to be fixed and fixed.
Because from one point onwards, Meditation is continuous every moment, and everywhere in everything we do. Because meditation will be considered successful when you can meditate with your eyes open in London Central Station at noon, as Dion Fortune mentions in her book "The Secrets of Dr. Taverner", if I remember correctly. And then you don't have to worry if you follow all the meditation instructions to the letter. To me the danger begins when you think you have learned all there is to learn, and you go back to a diet of meats, spirits, etc.
